AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) First of all, it is budget friendly. AMT is basically a manual gearbox, but the clutch and gear shifting are done automatically. It gives better mileage than manual and its maintenance cost is also lower. However, there are jerks while shifting gears and its response is slower than other automatic transmissions.

CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) It is considered better for smooth driving. It has a belt and pulley system instead of gears, which provides unlimited gear ratios. It has very smooth acceleration and is also good in fuel efficiency. Also, it is very comfortable to drive in traffic. However, its repair cost is quite high.

DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) This is a great option for those who prefer performance. It has two separate clutches. One for odd gears and the other for even gears, which makes gear shifting very fast. It offers a sporty driving experience and offers better acceleration than CVT or AMT. However, its price and maintenance costs are higher, and there can be problems with overheating in heavy traffic.

iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) This is the automatic version of the manual. In this, the driver has to shift the gears, but the clutch is automatic. It is cheaper than a fully automatic transmission, offers manual-like control and also offers good mileage. However, it is available in only a few models so far.
