Next-Gen Kia Seltos Hybrid Launch Might Be Delayed to April 2026

The Kia Seltos SUV has been a big hit worldwide, including in India where it helped Kia start its journey. A new Seltos model with updated design and more features is coming soon. This new version is also expected to get a Hybrid engine option.

Originally, production of the Seltos Hybrid was planned to start in January 2026, but reports from South Korea now suggest it might be pushed to April 2026. Kia has not confirmed this delay yet.

The reasons for the delay are not clear, but experts think it could be due to high costs, pricing strategy, and the company’s cautious approach. Since the Seltos competes in a price-sensitive market, a higher-priced Hybrid version might affect demand.

In countries like Korea, Europe, and the USA, the Seltos Hybrid is expected to have a 1.6L turbo petrol engine with an e-AWD system, which could increase costs and make production more complicated. This might affect the Seltos’ image as an affordable SUV.
