The next-generation Toyota Fortuner might get a big upgrade, and a new digital design gives us a possible glimpse of what it could look like.
Exterior Design:
The Fortuner has always ruled the full-size SUV market in India. While Toyota hasn’t officially announced when the new model will launch, this new rendering suggests it could take design ideas from the Toyota Tacoma and other global models.
The front may get:
- Sharp LED headlights with C-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs)
- A new black grille
- Stylish black alloy wheels
- A more muscular bonnet
- Triangular bumper design and a big window area
There could also be a sportier GR (Gazoo Racing) version with mechanical upgrades.
Interior Updates:
The inside of the upcoming Toyota Hilux (pickup) was recently leaked, and the new Fortuner is expected to have a similar interior since both share many parts.
Inspired by the new Land Cruiser Prado, the new Fortuner’s dashboard will have a more premium, layered look than before. It won’t be totally different but will feel more modern and classy.
Key features might include:
- Two large 12.3-inch screens – one for the digital instrument panel, and one for infotainment
- New design for the dashboard, gear lever, and AC vents
- More storage spaces
Despite these updates, the overall design inside won’t be too futuristic – it’ll be an improved version of the current layout.

Engine & Platform:

The infotainment system will likely be the same as the one in the latest Prado, with better connectivity and smoother use.
Launch:
The new Hilux will arrive first, and then the new Fortuner could launch globally next year. It might first come to ASEAN countries before launching in India, where it’s very popular.
