Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus Recalled

Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus Recalled

Volkswagen India has announced a recall for two of its popular cars – the Taigun and the Virtus. This is to check and fix a possible problem with the seat belts.

A total of 961 cars, made between 1 December 2021 and 31 May 2025, are included in this recall.

What’s the Issue?

  • There might be a crack in the metal frame of the rear seat belts (both left and right sides).
  • Some cars might have wrong seat belt parts fitted in the front and rear.

What Should Owners Do?

If you own a Taigun or Virtus made in this time period, visit the nearest Volkswagen service centre. The check and replacement (if needed) will be done free of cost.

Also, Skoda India has recalled some cars too – Kushaq, Slavia, and Kylaq – for the same reason.

Stay safe and get your car checked!
