Electric Carens Clavis
Launch Date: 15 July
Kia has shared a short video giving us the first look at the new Carens Clavis EV. This electric version of the Carens will launch on July 15, and prices for different variants will be revealed that day. The EV version looks just like the updated petrol/diesel model that was launched earlier this year. Here’s a quick look at what to expect.
Kia Carens Clavis EV Photo Highlights
The electric version looks just like the Carens Clavis, but it has a charging port in the front and special dual-color alloy wheels.
It still has the same sharp LED headlights, L-shaped daytime lights, and a connected LED light bar. The back design is expected to be similar too.
Interior – Second Row Seats
Inside, it looks familiar with two screens on the dashboard and a two-spoke steering wheel. It keeps the same three-row seating arrangement.
Exterior – EV Charging Plug
The EV gets a new centre console design, roof-mounted rear AC vents, ambient lighting, and a large panoramic sunroof. It also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L), meaning you can charge other devices using the car.
Battery and Range
The Kia Carens Clavis EV will have the same battery system as the Hyundai Creta Electric. It may come with two battery options – 42kWh and 51.4kWh – and offer up to 490 km range on a full charge.
