Skoda has confirmed that the new Octavia RS will go on sale in India by early November 2025. The high-performance sedan was showcased at the Auto Expo 2025 and will be brought in limited numbers, similar to the recently launched Volkswagen Golf GTI.
Key Highlights of the New Skoda Octavia RS
- Engine & Performance: Powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine (261 hp, 370 Nm), paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
- Acceleration & Speed: 0-100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds; top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.
- Driving Tech: Front-wheel drive with an electronic limited-slip differential for better grip and cornering.
- Special Feature: “Emotion Start” revs the engine to 2,100 rpm at ignition, enhancing the sporty exhaust note.
- Braking: Large ventilated disc brakes (340 mm front, 310 mm rear) for strong stopping power.
Practicality & Comfort
- Boot Space: 600 litres, expandable to 1,555 litres with rear seats folded.
- Suspension: May include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive suspension for improved ride and handling.
- Interior: Sports-themed cabin with carbon-look inserts, leather-fabric seats, aluminium pedals, 10.25-inch digital cluster, and a 13-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
