Mercedes Will Make Its Own Engines, Not Borrow From BMW
A big car company called Mercedes-Benz said they are not going to use engines from another car company, BMW. Some people thought Mercedes might ask BMW to give them engines to save money, but Mercedes said that is not true!
Mercedes has its own family of engines called FAME. These engines are very new and strong. They can follow strict rules that help keep the air clean in Europe, China, and America.
Mercedes is making different kinds of engines, like small four-cylinder engines and very powerful V8 and V12 engines. They will keep making these for their cars!

Even though electric cars are becoming more popular, Mercedes still wants to make cars with regular engines too. They believe engines are very important for their cars and will continue to build their own.
