GST 2.0 Effect - Citroen C3 Price Now Starts at Just Rs 4.80 Lakh

Citroen India has announced a major price cut across its entire lineup after the introduction of the new GST 2.0 tax structure. The French carmaker has passed on the full tax benefit to customers, making its cars more affordable ahead of the festive season.

Citroen Cars Get Cheaper by Up to ₹2.70 Lakh

From September 22, 2025, Citroen cars will see price reductions ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹2.70 lakh depending on the model and variant. The biggest benefit goes to the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV, which is now priced at ₹37.32 lakh (ex-showroom)—a drop of ₹2.70 lakh.

Key Highlights of Citroen Price Cut:

  • Citroen C3 hatchback – now starts at ₹4.80 lakh (cheaper by up to ₹84,000)
  • Citroen C3X – up to ₹84,000 lower depending on variant
  • Citroen Aircross SUV (5 & 7-seater): Price cut of up to Rs 50,000.
  • Citroen Basalt & Basalt X – launched with new GST-adjusted prices from ₹7.95 lakh
  • Citroen Basalt X (fully loaded) – starts at ₹12.89 lakh
  • Citroen C5 Aircross SUV – price cut of ₹2.70 lakh, now at ₹37.32 lakh

What Citroen Says

Kumar Priyesh, Director–Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, said:

“The reduction in GST on passenger vehicles is a welcome reform. By passing on the benefits fully, we aim to make Citroën cars more accessible, especially during the festive season.”
