Ferrari's cheapest grand tourer sports car launched: Can accelerate from 0 to 100 in just 3.3 seconds, priced at ₹2.4 crore
Ferrari has launched its new sports car Amalfi in the global market. The Italian carmaker has launched it as an entry-level sports car replacing the Ferrari Roma. Its starting price has been kept at 240,000 euros (about ₹2.4 crore). This is the company's cheapest grand tourer sports car so far.
Bookings for the Amalfi have started. Deliveries in Europe will start from the first quarter of 2026. It will reach the US after 3 to 6 months. After this, the right-hand-drive model will be launched in the Indian market. The company claims that this car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds.
The Ferrari Amalfi takes its name from Italy's Amalfi Coast, a beautiful beach on the Gulf of Salerno in southern Italy. It will compete with the Aston Martin DB12, Bentley Continental GT, Maserati GranTurismo and the upcoming Aston Martin DB12 S.
Exterior design: Smooth door handles and 20-inch alloy wheels
Talking about the looks of the Ferrari Amalfi, its aerodynamic design looks like a combo of sporty and stylish. The company says that apart from the glasshouse top, the entire body of the car is completely new. The biggest change is seen at the front, where the Roma's shark nose and grille have been replaced by a design similar to the Ferrari Purosangue SUV.
New slim headlights are connected by a black strip. Below that is a new design lip. There are new air ducts near the headlights, which reduce air resistance and send more air to the turbo. The Amalfi's side profile has smooth curves and aerodynamic lines that give it a sporty vibe. There are smooth door handles and 20-inch alloy wheels.
At the rear, there is a new active spoiler, which controls the air better and generates 110 kg of downforce at a speed of 250 km/h. This is 110 kg more than the Roma. This means that the car will ride firmly on the road even at high speeds. At the rear, there are slight changes to the taillights and the position of the number plate on the diffuser has changed slightly.
