Toyota Records Over 34,000 Sales in August 2025 – Highest Monthly Performance Yet

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has set a new record by selling 34,236 units in August 2025, making it the company’s highest-ever monthly sales tally in India. This marks an 11% growth compared to 30,879 units sold in August 2024.

Toyota’s August 2025 Sales Performance

  • Total Sales: 34,236 units
  • Domestic Sales: 29,302 units
  • Exports: 4,934 units
  • Growth: 11% YoY (vs. 30,879 units in August 2024)

Between January and August 2025, Toyota sold 2,41,696 units, compared to 2,12,785 units during the same period in 2024, showing a 14% year-on-year increase.

Why Are Toyota’s Sales Growing?

  1. Strong demand for popular models like the Innova, Fortuner, and Hyryder.
  2. Partnership with Suzuki: Models like Glanza, Rumion, and Urban Cruiser Taisor are boosting volumes through badge engineering.
  3. Export growth, supported by Toyota’s agreement with Kamarajar Port under the Make-in-India initiative.
  4. New Launches:
  • Urban Cruiser Taisor gets a new Bluish Black shade with six airbags as standard.
  • Camry Hybrid Sprint Edition introduced in the premium segment.

Toyota Innova’s 20-Year Milestone

The Toyota Innova, one of India’s most trusted MPVs, completed 20 years in the Indian market with sales crossing 12 lakh units – strengthening its leadership in the segment.

Toyota’s Manufacturing in India

  • Bidadi Plant 1 (since 1999): Builds Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and Legender.
  • Bidadi Plant 2 (since 2010): Produces Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hilux.
  • Annual Production Capacity: Up to 3,42,000 units.
