Maruti Suzuki Retail Sales Cross 80,000 Units in Just 4 Days of Navratri

Maruti Suzuki India has seen a massive jump in car sales this Navratri. In just four days, the company sold more than 80,000 units, showing how strong festive demand is across the country.

Why Are Sales Rising So Fast?

A big reason behind this growth is the recently introduced GST 2.0 tax cuts. Vehicle taxes have now been reduced to 18% and 40%, compared to the earlier 28–31% and 43–50% slabs. This price drop has given customers the perfect chance to buy or upgrade their cars during the festive season.

Record-Breaking Numbers

  • On the first day under GST 2.0, Maruti Suzuki sold 30,000 cars – the highest-ever single-day sales.
  • The company is now receiving nearly 80,000 daily inquiries, double the usual 40,000–45,000.
  • Bookings have touched 18,000 cars every day, highlighting the strong demand.

Which Cars Are in Demand?

The entry-level segment has shown the sharpest growth with 50% higher bookings. Smaller towns and cities outside the top 100 markets are seeing demand double.
Popular models include:

  • Maruti Suzuki Brezza
  • Maruti Suzuki Dzire
  • Maruti Suzuki Baleno

Possible Shortages Ahead

Due to the rush, Maruti Suzuki has warned that some popular variants could run out of stock within 4–5 days. Customers are being advised to complete their financing and registration quickly to ensure delivery during Navratri.
