Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 T Variant Launched: ADAS Features

Price starts at ₹20.29 lakh, top variants now get Level-2 ADAS safety features.

Mahindra & Mahindra has updated its popular SUV Scorpio-N. The company has introduced a new Z8 T automatic variant, with prices starting at Rs 20.29 lakh and going up to Rs 24.36 lakh (ex-showroom).

At the same time, Mahindra has also updated the top variant of the SUV, the Z8 L, which now features Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) capabilities. This makes the Scorpio one of the most advanced SUVs in the segment.

The inclusion of the ADAS feature has increased the price of the Scorpio-N Z8 L variant by Rs 48,000. Its ex-showroom price now starts at Rs 21.35 lakh, going up to Rs 25.42 lakh.

In India, it competes with the Tata Harrier and Safari, while in this price series, it also competes with the top variants of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

Performance: 4 wheel drive option with diesel engine

No mechanical changes have been made to the Mahindra Scorpio-N. It comes with a 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine and an mHawk diesel engine for performance. The petrol engine SUV generates 203hp of power and 370 N · m of peak torque with a 6-speed manual transmission. The same engine generates 10Nm more torque when paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Whereas, the diesel engine generates 175hp and 370NM peak torque with a manual gearbox. The same engine generates 400Nm torque with a 6-speed torque converter. The Scorpio-N diesel engine also comes with a 4-wheel drive (4WD) option.
