The Citroen Basalt X has officially been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 7.95 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory), making it the most affordable SUV in its segment. The company has revised the prices across variants and added new features to the top-spec Max trim.
Bookings are now open online and at authorised Citroen dealerships with a token amount of Rs 11,000.
Citroen Basalt X: Variant-Wise Prices
Citroen has reduced the prices of the Basalt line-up, with the Basalt X Max trim now Rs 97,000 cheaper, priced at Rs 12.90 lakh. The starting price of the SUV has also dropped by Rs 37,000.
- You – Rs 7.95 lakh
- Plus – Rs 9.42 lakh to Rs 12.07 lakh
- Max – Rs 11.63 lakh to Rs 12.90 lakh
Extra options:
- 360-degree camera – Rs 25,000
- Dual-tone roof – Rs 21,000

The top-spec Max trim gets the brand’s new CARA in-car assistant, which offers:
