Citroen Aircross X Teased For The First Time, Launch Soon

Citroen India has officially teased the Aircross X, confirming that the SUV is gearing up for launch in the coming weeks. Bookings are already open with a token amount of ₹11,000. The new Aircross X will join the recently introduced C3 X and Basalt X in Citroen’s India lineup, bringing more features and tech upgrades.

What’s New in Citroen Aircross X?

The teaser reveals cruise control and new seat upholstery, while more premium features are expected, such as:

  • Ventilated front seats
  • Wireless smartphone charging
  • Push-button start/stop
  • Auto-dimming IRVM
  • Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
  • 360-degree camera (optional on higher trims for ₹25,000)

On the top-spec variants, Citroen may also add its Cara AI smart assistant, similar to what we’ve seen on the C3 X and Basalt X.

Safety Features

Safety is already well covered, as the Aircross family comes with:

  • Six airbags
  • ABS with EBD
  • Electronic Stability Program (ESP)

No big additions are expected in this area since Citroen already offers these as standard features.

Engine Options

The Aircross X will continue with the same 1.2-litre petrol engines:1.2L NA Petrol (standard variants)

  • 1.2L Turbo Petrol (Aircross X trims)
    • Power: 110 bhp
    • Torque: 190 Nm (6-speed manual)
    • Torque: 205 Nm (6-speed automatic)

The X badge is expected to be reserved for top-spec trims only.

Citroen’s Future Plans in India

Citroen is in the middle of its biggest product and retail expansion since entering India. By the end of this financial year, the brand aims to more than double its sales and service network across the country. Alongside the Aircross X, Citroen is also preparing CNG versions of the C3 and Aircross to attract a wider range of customers.
